01

Introduction

De Big Rich Group is a Nigerian holding company operating across food, energy, trade, and real estate. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website, including the contact form, the product enquiry form, and any other channel where you voluntarily provide information to us.

By using this website and submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described in this policy. We are committed to protecting your personal data and to handling it transparently, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), 2019, and — for visitors located outside Nigeria — applicable international data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where they apply to you.

Information We Collect

We only collect information that you choose to provide to us. This website does not require visitors to create accounts, and there is no public registration of any kind. Authentication exists solely for authorised administrators to manage website content.

  • Contact and enquiry details — when you use our contact form or product enquiry form, we collect the information you submit, which typically includes your name, email address, phone number, company or organisation name, and the content of your message.
  • Technical information — standard web-server data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, which is collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and performance purposes.
  • Media you upload — where an authorised administrator uploads images, videos, or documents to the website, those files are stored in our media storage. Members of the public cannot upload media.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health data, religious beliefs, or financial account details), and we ask that you do not include such information in messages sent through our forms.

03

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiries, partnership proposals, and requests for information;
  • To send you confirmation and acknowledgement emails about submissions you make;
  • To evaluate business opportunities and maintain records of our correspondence;
  • To operate, secure, and improve this website; and
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes unless you have explicitly asked us to.

04

Legal Basis (Where Applicable)

Where data protection law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following:

  • Consent — you provide information voluntarily and can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
  • Contractual necessity — where we process your information to respond to an enquiry or take steps towards a business relationship you have requested.
  • Legitimate interests — operating and securing our website, and responding to communications directed at us.
  • Legal obligations — where we are required to retain or disclose information by Nigerian or other applicable law.
05

Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website does not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes, and we do not run any third-party analytics, advertising, or marketing tools.

Our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure may set technical or functional cookies, and your browser may use local or session storage, solely to keep the website functioning correctly and to cache site content for faster loading. These do not profile you or track you across other websites.

06

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate this website. Each is bound by its own privacy and security commitments:

  • Supabase — our database provider. Form submissions and enquiry records are stored in a Supabase database, and uploaded media is stored in Supabase Storage. Authentication for administrators is managed through Supabase Auth.
  • Resend — our email provider. Confirmation and notification emails triggered by form submissions are sent through Resend.
  • Cloudflare — our hosting and content-delivery provider, which also provides network security and caching.
  • Google Fonts — font files are loaded from Google's font CDN when you view the website. Please see Google's privacy policy for details of how the font CDN handles requests.

We do not use any advertising networks, social-media pixels, or marketing analytics tools on this website.

07

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Access to our databases and administrative systems is restricted to authorised personnel, database access is governed by row-level security policies that limit what each user can read or write, and communications with our services are encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, and we encourage you to avoid sending sensitive information through unsecured channels.

08

Data Retention

We retain information you submit through our forms only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — typically to respond to your enquiry and maintain a record of our correspondence — or for as long as we are required to retain it by applicable law.

Where a specific retention period has not been communicated to you, we review stored form submissions periodically and delete those that are no longer needed. Media and website content managed by administrators is retained for as long as it remains published on the website or is otherwise required for the operation of the site.

09

Children's Privacy

Our website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so that we can delete it.

10

International Data Transfers

Our website is hosted on infrastructure that may process data outside Nigeria, including through the cloud service providers listed above. Where your information is transferred to another country, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards for the protection of personal data, consistent with applicable law. Visitors outside Nigeria should be aware that their information may be processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from their own.

11

Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Object to, or restrict, certain processing of your information;
  • Request a copy of your information in a portable format; and
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on your request.

12

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
